Cerebral palsy has been my lifelong companion, an unexpected twist in the story of my life. Rather than letting it dictate the terms, I've transformed my challenges into catalysts for growth. I've spent the last decade standing before diverse audiences, from the curious eyes of kindergarteners to the attentive minds of seasoned professionals.

CODY’S STORY

Cody was born with Cerebral Palsy…

…played baseball “one-handed”

from 4-17 years of age…

…and then started throwing the javelin.

Cody made the 2016 U.S. Paralympic Team 

      and is still actively competing.

Schools   

Cody works with you to make your school event the best it can be! This is typically a 20-45 minute large group motivational assembly. Cody can also be available to visit classrooms and teach staff and students how to throw a (plastic) javelin... (everyone loves this!)

Often, the world does not know how to accommodate students with disabilities. Teachers and parents try their best to talk to their kids about disabilities, but it is a very difficult topic for young minds to wrap their mind around.

Henry Makes it on Top is the perfect book to aid teachers and parents in their conversations about disabilities and how to treat people with respect.

In Henry Makes it on Top, Henry, a student who uses a wheelchair, must find an imaginative and creative way to join his class on their field trip to the magical Mr. Goat. Why is this a challenge for Henry? The magical Mr. Goat lives far away on the top of a HUGE MOUNTAIN that is not wheelchair friendly.
